Your strategy has to follow the dice, you can't start the game with the idea that you will win the Nile points, or the Pharaoh points, you just have to go with what you get on the dice. Still the game is fun, you have to decide what you can do with the roll you made, so each turn has at least one interesting decision. Interaction is not very high. Sometimes you will have an opportunity to block, but more often you just run out of choices, for example the Pharaoh track ends, so if you are at the end, and roll another Pharaoh then that die is useless to you. I found the board to be a little small in a three player game, for a two player game it is fine and you can see how many points you have, and what your options are no matter how many are playing. The game designer is a mathematician, and the game is not really about about Egypt, Ra or Pharaohs just about scoring points in the six different areas of the board with little wooden cubes, which is fine, but not great.
